It is easy to be peaceful when we are in a comfortable, clean and positive environment. But what happens if or when that environment becomes contaminated or we are faced with issues among society that cause disharmony? Unfortunately peace of mind and heart can easily get disrupted when we engage too much in worldly affairs by allowing the thoughts, behaviour and actions of others to affect us internally.
How can one love in abundance? Or in other words, have can we truly wish for the highest good for all, if they allow negative thoughts, words and/or actions to filter through and determine their peace of mind?
It is easy to say, ‘don’t let the thoughts and feelings of others to negatively impact you.’ I write and publish such picture quotes daily on the Love in Abundance Facebook Page. But besides writing, reading and sharing these short motivational quotes, how else can we really instill these teachings within us especially in moments of pain, sorrow, mental abuse or social constraints that cause disharmony within?
Life is a series of ups and downs. We experience good times and bad. And it is important to learn how to drive through the storm. Be aware of the storm and know that it will one day end. Not ‘waiting’ for it to end, but rather experiencing it with full faith and devotion to your Higher Being/God/Guru/Shiva etc. Know that “Hey I am not alone,”, “I am not experiencing these negative situations alone,” and that “God is with me, guiding me, sheltering me from the storm, and teaching me to grow while I am in the storm.” These positive affirmations and words of complete faith can immediately bring peace of mind and heart in times of trouble. Faith can remove mountains, one tiny stone at a time… So go on, have a little faith and drive through the storm.
