Homemade beauty mask

Beauty treatments can be costly and sometimes harsh chemicals used in products can cause an irritation to the skin. According to Ayurvedic practice, anything applied on the face or skin, should also be able to be applied on the tongue. Meaning all products and substances used should be safe enough for consumption.

This homemade face mask is cost effective and easy to make!

About 2 tablespoons of papaya

A drop of honey

Vegans can omit the honey and milk and replace it with water or rose water instead.

Mash the papaya into a pulp, add the honey and then add milk and mix to form a paste. Vegans can mix the papaya pulp directly with water (rose water can also be used). Wash face and apply mixture evenly to the face and desired areas. Rinse off after 10 minutes.

This mixture can also be used as a hair care product as papaya is said help soften and revitalize the hair.
